2008: Year of Diablo 3?
Possibly.
It seems that the Diablo 3 rumour mill is well and truly spinning over at DiabloFans.com. They've reported that PC Action -- a German PC Gaming Magazine -- has dropped hints of a possible Diablo 3 announcement at some point in the next year.
We found out some secret information about a much awaited game, from a very well known game developer, whom we can't name. Sounds extremely important, doesn't it? Let's say: Pure thought about it makes our bedsheets wet. Got any ideas? Post them in the comments. Even if the hell froze and cows gave beer - we would spill nothig out!
pcaction.de thinks: HAHA! we have seen the pictures and you have not!
Notice the words Hells and cows? If you are a Diablo 2 fan, you'll know exactly how much meaning those two words have, especially the latter.
This follows on from several other rumours, including one that claimed the August edition of PC Gamer may feature a Diablo 3 theme, but this was later rubbished by PC Gamer themselves.
Sorry to get your hopes up, but we can officially deny that Diablo is on our cover next month. We’re announcing something big and exciting and exclusive (actually, there are two big exciting exclusive announcements in this issue!), and we had to go a long way to get it, but it’s not from Blizzard.
For those of you that don't know, Blizzard have announced that the 2008 WWI will finish on June 29th - the same day that saw the launch of Diablo 2 in North America and, a year later, saw the launch of Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction in Europe. As well as that, Blizzard have dropped the hat on BlizzCon 2008, which many are assuming will feature a hands on with Diablo 3 if there is an announcement at the WWI. We've already reported about Blizzard getting their hands on the Diablo3.com domain, weeks before the WWI.
PC Action are, of course winding the situation up by neither denying or confirming the DiabloFans community suspicions and they have also taken things one step further... by linking to DiabloFans.com from their website.
PC Action: Unfortunately we are not allowed to talk about any details at the moment concerning this game :)

PC Action: For long time the rumor kitchen has simmered. There have been indications again and again, that in the next weeks or months, the successor to the brillant diablo 2 should be announced. Several Internet portals, such as Diablofans.com and n4g.com, report over alleged references to a Diablo 3-announcement at a Gaming site by the name of pcactio..., oh, f*ck! Those are we!
But something is missing here...
So they say, that the 11x11 Pixel Picture from yesterday would be an impression from the Diablo-Follow-Up. The Problem : We are not allowed to say something about it. Not deny, nor say that the rumors are true, or even say anything. Hmm, how many more days are there to our next issue?
What do you think? what can it be? -- View the Source.
And the lat bit that makes this all worthwhile? That would be the babysitting required for this years Blizzard WWI.
Due to the nature of some content at the 2008 Blizzard Entertainment Worldwide Invitational, attendees under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult (of 18 years and above).
So what do you guys think? Will 2008 be the year of Diablo 3 or will we have to wait for the announcement? If not Diablo 3, why so much activity in the Diablo franchise camp?

JeckWildWhether it's Diablo or not, the fun part is "Next-Gen MMO"
What kind of break-through can they come up with?
If it is Diablo, maybe random dungeons, and even random world?
That would be cool.
